Getting Started

WPilot is a WordPress plugin that connects the AI assistant Claude to your website. Instead of clicking through menus and writing code, you simply chat with Claude in plain language and it makes changes to your site directly. Think of it as having a web developer, designer, and SEO expert available 24/7.

Yes. WPilot works by connecting Claude to your WordPress site, so you need a Claude account. Claude is made by a company called Anthropic — you can sign up at claude.ai. Claude has both free and paid tiers — WPilot works with either, though a paid Claude plan gives you more messages per day.

Claude offers a free tier with limited messages and paid plans starting at $20/month. WPilot works with any tier. Visit claude.ai/pricing for current pricing.

Yes! The free plan includes 20 AI requests so you can try all features before upgrading. Download it from weblease.se/wpilot.

You have two choices. Claude Desktop is a point-and-click app, perfect for non-technical users who want a simple chat interface. Claude Code is a text-based tool for more advanced users — it’s more powerful and supports features like Live Mode for the Chat Agent. Both connect to your site through WPilot.

Download the WPilot plugin ZIP from weblease.se/wpilot. In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, select the ZIP file, and click Install. Then activate it. The whole process takes about a minute.

After activating the plugin, go to WPilot in your WordPress sidebar. You will see a connection link and secret key. In Claude Desktop, click ‘Add Connection’, paste the URL from WPilot, and click Connect. In Claude Code, follow the on-screen instructions to paste in your connection details. The plugin walks you through every step.

WPilot requires WordPress 6.0 or higher. Most modern hosting providers already meet all requirements — check Tools → Site Health in your WordPress dashboard.

Yes. WPilot automatically detects which page builder you use and adapts accordingly. It works with Gutenberg, Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, Beaver Builder, Oxygen, Brizy, Breakdance, Kadence Blocks, Spectra, and GenerateBlocks.

Absolutely. WPilot can manage your entire store — create products, set prices, handle orders, generate coupons, manage categories, and pull sales reports. Just ask Claude in plain language like "create a 20% off coupon for new customers."

Chat Agent

The Chat Agent is an AI-powered customer service chat bubble that appears on your website. Visitors can ask questions and get instant answers based on your actual site content — products, prices, FAQs, policies, and more. It looks and feels like chatting with a real team member.

When you set up the Chat Agent, Claude scans your entire website and builds a knowledge base (the "brain"). This includes your pages, products, prices, FAQs, and any custom knowledge you add. When a visitor asks a question, the brain finds the best answer from your real data.

Live Mode runs in the background on your computer using Claude Code. It checks for new visitor messages every 30 seconds and answers them using Claude's full AI capabilities. This means visitors get smarter, more detailed answers compared to the offline brain alone. You don’t need to keep your computer on all the time — see the next question about what happens when your computer is off.

Yes. When Claude Code is offline, the Chat Agent switches to its cached brain and answers visitors from stored site data. If it cannot find an answer, it shows your contact information (WhatsApp, phone, email) so the visitor can still reach you.

Yes. You can give your agent any name — Sara, Simon, Matilda, whatever fits your brand. You can also customize the primary color, accent color, position (left or right), greeting message, and placeholder text. The agent's name appears in the chat header with an avatar showing its initials.

The Chat Agent supports 9 languages: English, Swedish, German, French, Spanish, Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, and Finnish. It auto-detects the visitor's browser language and responds naturally in that language.

If the agent cannot find an answer within 45 seconds, it shows your contact options — WhatsApp, phone number, or email — so the visitor can reach a real person. You also get notified via email (and optionally Telegram) about unanswered questions so you can improve the brain over time.

Yes. Visitors can upload images in JPEG, PNG, GIF, or WebP format, up to 5 MB each. This is useful for showing product issues, screenshots, or other visual information.

WPilot doesn’t charge any API fees. When the AI is active, messages use your Claude subscription (just like any other Claude conversation). When offline, the assistant handles questions at no additional cost.

Billing & Plans

WPilot offers three plans. Pro at $9/month for one WordPress site with unlimited AI capabilities. Team at $24/month for up to 3 WordPress sites. And Lifetime at $149 — pay once and use WPilot forever on one site. Chat Agent is not included in any plan — it’s an optional add-on for $20/month that you purchase separately.

Yes. When you install WPilot and register, you get a free plan with 20 AI prompts. It is a great way to try things out before committing to a paid plan.

Chat Agent is a separate purchase at $20/month — not included in any plan. Pro + Chat Agent = $9 + $20 = $29/month. Team + Chat Agent = $24 + $20 = $44/month (covers all 3 sites). It includes a named AI agent, the smart brain system, 9 languages, email alerts, and offline functionality.

You can cancel anytime through your account dashboard at weblease.se/wpilot-account. When you cancel, your license stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, you revert to the free plan with 20 prompts.

We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee. Contact info@weblease.se within 14 days of purchase for a full refund.

Both include the exact same features and capabilities. The difference is pricing: Pro is $9/month as an ongoing subscription, while Lifetime is a one-time payment of $149 that gives you access forever with no recurring fees. Lifetime also includes all future updates and lifetime support.

Yes. Cancel your current Pro subscription, then purchase a Lifetime plan. Your access continues seamlessly. The Lifetime plan has limited availability, so we recommend switching sooner rather than later.

You will receive an email with a link to update your payment method. Stripe will automatically retry the charge a few times over about two weeks. If all retries fail, the subscription is cancelled and your license expires at the end of your billing period.

Each license is tied to one WordPress site. If you have multiple sites, you can get the Team plan ($24/mo) for up to 3 sites, or purchase separate Pro or Lifetime licenses.

Privacy & Data

Yes. WPilot stores minimal data and gives you full control. Training data sharing is strictly opt-in and all data is anonymized before sending (emails, URLs, passwords, phone numbers, and IPs are stripped). You can delete your account at any time.

WPilot stores login credentials (securely encrypted — never stored in a readable format), your daily usage count, license key, site profile settings, chat settings, and conversation logs. All data stays on your own WordPress server unless you explicitly opt in to training data sharing.

Only license validation (your license key and site URL to verify your plan), version checks (your plugin version to check for updates), and security reports (if an attack is detected). Training data is ONLY sent if you opt in. Chat conversations stay on your own server.

When you use Claude Desktop or Claude Code, your conversation and the data Claude reads from your site flow through Anthropic's servers as part of the normal Claude service. WPilot itself does NOT send data to Anthropic — Claude connects to your site and reads data through the WordPress API.

Log into your account at weblease.se/wpilot-account and request account deletion. This removes your user record, licenses, and any associated data from our servers. On your WordPress site, deactivating and deleting the WPilot plugin removes all local data.

Troubleshooting

First, make sure the plugin is activated and you can see the WPilot menu in WordPress. Go to WPilot in your WordPress sidebar and click ‘Copy Connection Link’ again to make sure you have the latest version. Make sure your secret key is entered correctly in Claude. If you are using Claude Desktop, try restarting the app. If it still does not work, contact your hosting provider and ask: ‘Is the WordPress REST API enabled on my site?’ They’ll know what this means.

Make sure the Chat Agent is enabled in your WPilot settings and that a chat key has been generated. Try clearing your browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete on PC, Cmd+Shift+Delete on Mac) and refreshing the page. If the agent status shows "disabled" on the server side, the widget will hide itself. Also verify your license includes the Chat Agent add-on.

This means the agent is in offline mode — Claude Code is not running Live Mode on your computer. The agent will still answer from its cached brain, but for real-time responses, start Claude Code and enable Live Mode. The status automatically updates every 30 seconds.

Double-check that you entered the key correctly (format: CA-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). Make sure your subscription is active and not expired. Each license is locked to one site — if you activated it on a different site, it cannot be used elsewhere. Check your account at weblease.se/wpilot-account for license status.

The free plan includes 20 AI prompts. Once you hit the limit, upgrade to Pro ($9/month) for unlimited prompts. Your work and settings are preserved — upgrading simply removes the limit.

Claude always asks for confirmation before making destructive changes like deleting content or changing themes. For non-destructive changes, you can ask Claude to revert what it just did. WordPress also keeps revision history for posts and pages, so you can restore previous versions from the editor.

Yes. WPilot supports up to 3 simultaneous connections (tokens). Each connection can have its own label and style (simple or technical). You can manage and revoke tokens from the WPilot settings in WordPress.

Licenses are locked to a specific site URL on first activation. If you move to a new domain, contact us at info@weblease.se and we will transfer your license to the new URL.
